Apple iPhone SE relaunched by Apple on 17th April in the US

The Apple iPhone SE is the cheapest iPhone from the array of Apple Phones available in the market today. It was originally launched in 2016 and discontinued shortly after. But Apple has now decided to re-launch the iPhone SE back into the market.

It will launch in the US on the 17th of April and will be available for purchase from the 24th of April. It is, however, unclear at this point as to when it would be launched in India. But there are definite plans to have the iPhone SE launch back in India. Probably the end of the Lockdown would give a clearer picture on the India  Launch.

New SE is powered by A-13 Bionic processor

The New iPhone SE is powered by the current generation of iPhone processors the A-13 Bionic processor. It is the same processor that currently powers the iPhone 11 phones. So the new iPhone SE is as fast as the iPhone 11.

The New SE has a 4.7-inch screen and the Home button which is not seen in the current generation iPhones. The Home button now comes in Sapphire Crystal finish which makes the button more durable than the buttons that were on previous iPhones. Also making it the button for finger Print Scanning.

The iPhone SE looks like the fifth-generation iPhones

With the return of the Home button on the new iPhone SE Face ID has been discontinued on this model. The looks of the relaunched version of the iPhone SE match that of the fifth-generation iPhones namely the iPhone 6, 6S, 7, and 8. It comes with a 12 MP camera on the rear and 7 MP camera in the front. The rear camera supports 4k video recording while the front camera supports up to 1080p video recording at 30 fps.

The iPhone SE will be the cheapest iPhone when launched in India. It is predicted that the SE will be launched at a price of Rs. 42500/-. The current iPhone X series has a starting price of Rs. 50000/- and keeps increasing with the different variants and models that apple has to choose from.

It is highly unlikely that the budget iPhone will really penetrate the Indian market. But nonetheless, it will be seen on the shelves of Apple stores in India. The iPhone has always been a luxury item for the average Indian and a necessity for the rich and famous.
