PUBG will back in India with new distribution rights. The Government of India had recently banned PUBG Mobile in the country. Apart from PUBG, the government also banned 117 other Chinese apps. Out of 117, PubG Mobile is a very popular game in India. Now there is good news for fans of PUBG mobile games. PUBG Mobile may be back in India very soon. After the ban, the PUBG Corporation has decided to break away from its Chinese game distributor Tencent Games in India.

What is the story of banning PUBG in India

PUBG game originally developed by the South Korea company. The mobile version of this game has been taken over by the Chinese company Tencent Games. Now after Chinese apps are banned in India. The PUBG’s parent company has decided to take over PUBG’s operations in India and suspend the Tencent Games franchise for game distribution in India.

After breaking ties with Tencent Games the South Korean company will take over command of PUBG in India.  Now PubG’s parent company will carry out operations in India. It also means that the ban on PUBG mobile games in India can be removed very soon.

Why India Government banned 118 Chinese apps

The security threat is the main reason for banning all those Chinese apps in India. The government of India has stated that these Chinese apps collecting users data and transferring those data in China. This could be a threat to the security of the users as well as the nation. The 118 banned apps include many popular names. It includes Games like Ludo and Carrom which were very popular even before the lockdown.

Earlier government ban popular short video app Tiktok

This was not the first time the government has banned Chinese apps. Earlier, the government has banned 59 Chinese apps. It also included the popular short video making app called TikTok. 

Indian is not the only country in the word which has raised the security concern with Chinese apps and equipment. There are many countries that already banned Chinese companies to operate or allowed to do business. Many Europian countries and the US has raised serious concern with data security with Chinese apps. Many countries may follow the Indian government stand and may ban Chinese apps in their respective countries.
