Now team India captain Mithali Raj hit an innings of 45 runs against South Africa and crossed the 7000 runs mark in One Day International. Mithali Raj become the first woman cricketer in the history to score 7000 runs in One Day International. She played this innings in 71 balls and scored four boundaries.

The South Africa Women’s Cricket Team is on India tour for five matches series. Mithali created history and made a worlds records in the fourth match of the series. The second position in Women Cricket for highest ODI International runs followed by the British cricketer Charlotte Edwards. She has scored 5992 runs in the international women cricket tournaments so far.

Mithali Raj history and family scarifies for her shining career 

Mithali Raj was born on 3 December 1982 in Jodhpur Rajasthan. She has taken a professional Bharatanatyam dance training and share has performed on stage on many times. Mithali also has a deep interest in cricket and her dance training often get affected due to cricket. Looking at her interest her dance teacher advised her to choose either cricket of dance for career. She chose cricket over the dance and decided to give her 100 percent for cricketing career.

Her family full support to her decision to pressure cricket. Mithai’s mother Leela Raj was in a service as officer. Mithali’s father Dheeraj Raj Dorai was in the Air Force but later he joined a bank in Rajasthan. Dheeraj Raj was also a cricketer and he encourages Mithali on every moment for playing cricket. Her mother Leela Raj also gave many sacrifices for the daughter. She quit her job to help her daughter in her practices. Leela wanted to spend time and give more attention to Mithali during her training. Her father and mother cut many essential expenses to support Mithal’s cricket training.

Cricketing career and debut to international cricket: Who is Mithali Raj

Mithali Raj debut in One Day International for the first time in 1999. This match was played in Milton Keynes, Ireland in which Mithali scored 114 not out. She played the first Test Match in 2001-2002 against England in Lucknow. Mithali dismissed at Duck (Zero) many times in her career when she joined the International Test Cricket Matches.

She showed up in her career on the strength by putting hard work. Mithali set the record for the highest ever in international women’s cricket by scoring 214 runs. She made this record in 2002 against playing for England. This is the highest run record in women’s cricket.

Mithali Raj is also the first female cricketer to cross the 6000-run mark in ODIs. She has scored 7019 runs in 213 matches at an average of 50.49. Mithali has seven centuries and 54 half-century in her account. Her best score is not out of 125 runs. Mithali had crossed 10,000 international runs in the last match and become first Indian woman cricketer to do so.
