No matter who comes to India whether it is the ruler of Pakistan, the United States or China to name just a few. The Taj Mahal has been the destination that everyone has wanted to visit. So, it comes as no surprise that on his maiden visit to India. The president of the United States of America Donald Trump made it a point to visit the Taj Mahal. He was accompanied by his wife Melania Trump and Daughter Ivanka along with her husband Jared Kushner. He was welcomed at the Airport by the Governor and the UP state Chief Minister. But they did not accompany him to the Taj Mahal.

No matter ruler of which country comes to India. A visit to the Taj Mahal has always been a priority this magnificent beauty has been in the country for centuries. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favourite wife Mumtaj Mahal. It is not just the monument that makes the place iconic. But the surroundings of the Place to have been decorated with fountains and water bodies. Just like the Eiffel Tower is an icon of France and Paris. The Taj Mahal represents India. It is also one of the seven wonders of the world.

Trump Taj Mahal was the name of a Hotel founded by Donald Trump

Many years ago, when General Musharraf visited India with his wife. The peace summit was held in Agra itself. He also made it a point to make a visit to the Taj Mahal that time. Even though the Talks in then summit failed the visit to the iconic monument was definitely on the Travel List. Even the previous US President Barack Obama made sure that he visited the Taj Mahal. In fact, most people who visit India may head to different parts of India depending upon what they want to explore. It may be Goa, Kerala, Manali etc. But a visit to the Taj has always been on the itinerary.

The famous Hotel in Mumbai too was named after the famous Monument. Even Donald Trump named his Hotel that he built in Atlantic City New Jersey as the Trump Taj Mahal. So, it was quite evident that the US president would definitely make it a point to stop at this iconic structure on his maiden visit to India. He headed to New Delhi after spending quality time in Agra. He will be going to have a round of discussions and ceremonial celebrations in New Delhi before he leaves on the night of the 25th when he returns back to the US.
