PV Sindhu Training in London will end for a championship in Thailand

World champion shuttler PV Sindhu Training in London is going on. Sindhu will participate in an International Tournament in Thailand in January next year. She is a little worried after the new corona strain cases reported in England. Many countries suspended flight between Britain and the rest of the world. But PV Sindhu believes that she will be a part of the tournament in Thailand next year. Sindhu is currently under the training in London for Tokyo Olympic next year.

PV Sindhu has to play a tournament in Thailand in January 2021 before Olympic. This will be her first tournament after the corona pandemic hit the world. Sindhu has to reach Bangkok by 3rd January for this tournament. She will take part in two Super 1000 competitions from January 12 to 24. While speaking on this Sindhu said, “I have planned a trip in the first week of January. Thailand does not have travel restrictions for visitors from the UK so I can travel from Doha. I plan to go to Thailand via the Gulf countries.”

Eight member team including Saina Nehwal will go to Thailand for the tournament

Apart from Sindhu eight-member team from India including top badminton players Saina Nehwal, will participate in Thailand Tournament. This will include three tournaments from World Badminton Federation and World Tour Finals in Bangkok. The Badminton Association of India (BY) on Monday selected an eight-member strong squad for the tournaments which will held in January 2021.

The team consists of PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, B Sai Praneeth, Kidambi Srikanth, Satwiksairaj Ranireddy, Chirag Shetty, Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy. The Indian players will participate in the Yonex Thailand Open from January 12 to 17. This will be followed by the Toyota Thailand Open from 19 to 24 January and the BWF World Tour Finals from 27 to 21 January.

Thailand Badminton Championship will be ing back badminton sports on track

Many countries around the world including India have banned the flights services from Britain. This step has been taken in view of the newer and more infected type of coronavirus in England. Sindhu went to London in October for the training at the National Training Center along with British badminton players Toby Penty and Rajiv Ouseph. Sindhu said,

“My training is going very well and national centres is not closed. It is running as a biologically safe centre, so I am able to practice before the competitions in Thailand.”

The Thailand international badminton championship will bring back badminton after Covid-19. Let me tell you that all sports activities cancelled after worldwide lockdown announced in March 2020. The few sports activities are back on track with restrictions and new rules. Now, this will be a good initiative for the badminton world and it will help the sports to come back on normalcy. PV Sindhu requested sports minister in India and shown her interest to be part of tournament on Thailand. The sports ministry accepted Sindhu’s request and advised him to go along with her personal pheso and fitness trainer to these events.

PV Sindhu last participated in All England Championships in March before lockdown

The 25-year-old Sindhu last participated in the All England Championships in March. After this, all competitions were cancelled or postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In October, Sindhu withdrew from the Denmark Open which will take place in March next year. PV Sindhu Training in London show her dedication and focus for the upcoming events. She is very particulate and selective for upcoming events till Olympic in Tokyo.
