BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Hospitalised in Kolkata after a mild heart attack. Ganguly fall sick and admitted to the Woodland Hospital in Kolkata this morning. As per sources Sourav Ganguly experience chest pain while doing the workout in a gym in the morning. This gym situated in Sourav Ganguly’s house in Kolkata. He is under the observation and medication is on by the doctors in Woodland Hospital.

Hospital sources confirmed that Sourav Ganguly needed an angioplasty due to artery blockage. The 48-year-old former captain of Indian cricket team taken into Woodland Hospital in Kolkata. He reported chest pain complaint while doing workout this morning. Doctors told that he had a mild cardiac arrest this morning. Ganguly will undergo angioplasty to get the blockage removed from his artery. Although doctors have also told that there is nothing to worry and he is fine. He is stable at this moment and under the medication from the heart experts.

Senior sports journalist Boria Majumdar wrote and said Sourav Ganguly Hospitalised in Kolkata

According to senior sports journalist Boria Majumdar, Ganguly was admitted to Kolkata’s Woodlands Hospital on Saturday morning. Boria wrote on his Twitter handle.

“He felt dizzy when he was in the gym and he went to Woodlands to get the Tests done. That’s when it came to light that there was a cardiac issue and the hospital has now created a 3 member board with Dr. Saroj Mondal who will perform the procedure. Ganguly get well soon”

When the doctors heard about Ganguly had a heart problem. The hospital immediately formed a three-member team to monitor his condition and start emergency medication. As soon as this news spread, people on social media started writing and praying for his recovery. Many people, including West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, commentator Harsha Bhogle wrote on social media for speedy recovery of Sourav Ganguly.

Sourav Ganguly counted among the most successful captains of India Cricket Team. Ganguly played 113 Tests and 311 ODIs for India. Sourav Ganguly started his career by scoring a century against England in 1996 in his first test. He captained India in 49 Tests and 147 ODIs.

The left-handed batsman Sourav Ganguly scored 7212 runs in 113 Test matches with 42.17 avg. This includes 16 centuries and 35 half-centuries in his career. He has not only win the domestic series in India but he also raise the Indian Flag in foreign soil.

Team India reached the final of the World Cup in 2003 after 1983 under the captaincy of Ganguly.
