While looking at censorship, Hotstar prepared its Code of Ethics in January this year. But Netflix said it does not need to put any code of conduct for their content. Netflix said that current laws for censorship is ok.

The first series of Netflix was a ruckus about Sacred Games. Even Sacred Games had to make rounds of the court last year. It was over “outrageous scenes”, although the case was later dismissed. Shiv Sena has registered a case against video streaming platform 

Video streaming apps and web portals accused of showing pornographic and controversy-ridden videos. Shiv Sena has also registered a case in this regard. Ramesh Solanki of Shiv Sena’s IT cell has lodged an FIR at Mumbai’s LT Mark Police Station.
