It comes as no surprise that the Spy thriller with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff has grossed more than 400 Crores at the Box Office. Spy thrillers are now becoming a big hit in India. Many movies that have the same theme have been released and have received a very positive response. May that be on the big screen or even on the Small Screen.
Which is in the form of Web series. Which is popular among people who watch it on their mobile screens as well. Romeo Akbar Walter too was one such movie. Though it did not do that well. It was positively responded to by the audience.

Indian Spy Thrillers have come in many forms. The most recent was also released in the form of a web series on both Amazon Prime as well as Netflix. Amazon release Family Man starring Manoj Vajpayee in the lead role as a family man who is actually a spy.

His family does not know much about the role he plays at work. They think he is a clerk. Whereas the works for a special cell in the Indian Intelligence unit. It is fun to watch how a high profile action man convinces his family that he is doing a boring job.
India is hooked on to spy thrillers unlike James Bond
Bard of Blood is the second of such a web series. It stars Emraan Hashmi who is also a Spy and is one who is exceptional at his job. He, however, has a fallout with his bosses and takes a brief break and works as a Professor in an educational institution.

However, a special situation makes him return to his old job. He is required to enter Pakistan and rescue other spies who are captured by the Taliban on behalf of the Pakistani forces.
Both the web series has done very well with a good amount of viewership. This has now become a trendsetter. India gets its very own James Bonds. Although not as classy and suave as the 007 but the right amount of Action and thrills are being portrayed on screen by these spy thrillers.

There are few more movies with the same genre that did well was the Salman Khan thriller Tiger Zinda hai which did very well too. There were few flops too initially like the Saif Ali Khan starrer Agent Vinod. Now it will be interesting to see which spy thriller comes up next.
