Smartphone Battery Function may not be available in next-generation phones. Now the smartphone does not need a battery to function. it will recharge automatically with the help of available WiFi as per researchers.

Smartphone world has changed a lot in recent years. Technology played a very important role in smartphones to featurephone in the last few years. This sector has seen many changes in the last 10-15 years. With the change of features, the more battery consumption is the major issue these days. The long-life battery requirement has increased in new smartphones. A long-life battery life influence smartphone purchase for the user.

MIT researchers have invented technology to get power via WiFi

The major power consumed in the new generation phone is by Wi-Fi signals. But now there is a piece of good news for smartphone users because Wi-Fi will not only consume power but it will recharge the smartphone as well. The scientists have found a way to recharge a phone with a WiFi connection.

US-based MIT researchers have created a substance that is capable of charging electronic devices with the help of Wi-Fi signals. This new technology will end the battery and power chargers from the smartphone in the future.

In the research, researchers have developed a radio antenna which is made from semiconductor material. This is called Retina. This antenna catches the Wi-Fi signal and transforms it into wireless energy. This technology will not only be able to charge smartphones but other electronic gadgets like laptops, iPod etc.

The new world will see smart devices without battery for power usages

Research co-writer Tom Palacios said that in the coming time, with the help of Wi-Fi users will be able to charge any electronic device which connects to Wi-Fi. The researcher has prepared a two-dimensional device that is a bit thick. It connects with any radio antenna device and connects with devices such as smartphones, laptops etc. As the AC signal starts through this semiconductor, then it turns into DC voltage. It gives energy to the electro nick circuits.

This is great research which will address the battery issue in smartphones

This is great research and the solution can help to a larger population getting limited electricity even in the 21st century. Many countries across the world don’t have even basic electricity infrastructure. Even in India, we don’t have a robust electricity distribution. That’s the reason a major part of rural India still struggles to bet basic electricity.

We wish this technology should rollout fast for the interest of the new world.
