On the occasion of CII 125 Years Celebration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the industry association on Tuesday. Prime Minister talked to the people of the industry mainly on the economy during this interaction. The theme for this interaction was ‘Getting Growth Back’. Modi expressed his confidence that India’s growth will return back again.

The five points addressed by Modi during CII 125 years celebration event

1. India confident of returning to growth very soon

Modi said – India has left behind the lockdown and entered in unlocked phase-1. A large part of the economy has opened up in this phase. After eight days, a lot more will open. This will get back growth on track and help in the growing economy.

2. Strengthening Economy is a Major Priority

He also said that “we have to save people’s lives as well as manage the economy. Reinforcing the economy against Corona is our primary objective. I would go beyond the ‘getting growth back’ and say yes, we are getting growth back.”

3. Made in India and Made for Foreign is a need of this time

PM Narendra Modi has always talked about increasing manufacturing in the country, but this time he said in a different way. He said “World is looking for a reliable partner and India has this potential. Industry should take full advantage of this opportunity. Our share in global exports is very low. Industry organizations have to help in making more industry and market them on the global market. Now there is a need to create products in India for foreign markets. That will be made in India for foreign products.

4. The government will take four steps against each step of the industry for help

“It is the responsibility of industry organizations to make the country self-reliant. If you take one step, the government will help you by taking four steps. As Prime Minister, I assure you of this. Self-reliant India means that we become stronger and integrated with the world economy. Be and be a serpent.”

5. Indian Govt. Improve things beyond the peoples expectation

“The government is also done policy reforms which country had never hope for. People had assumed that this could not happen, but now such things are happening. The rules made after independence in the agriculture sector include farmers as middlemen. Our government showed the will to remove the injustice done to the farmers. With the change in the law, now the farmers will get their rights. They can sell their crops wherever they want and whenever they want.”

Modi also reiterated the benefits offered under his 20Lakh Crore stimulus to fight with Coronavirus. Nothing new as added in this section of Modi apart from repeating his big corona loan scheme.
