Luxury Food Delivery is the new business for India’s largest travel company. Make My Trip (MMT) has announced a new business to beat the coronavirus business impact. Now this company will deliver the food of expensive restaurants along with 5-star hotels.

This company has decided to come into the food delivery business instead of closing the travel business due to the lockdown. The company said that it has partnered with several luxury hotels and restaurants in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore to start a food delivery business.

Tour and Travel aggregator business badly hit due to lockdown

MMT has announced a food delivery business at a time when travel and hotel aggregator business is about to close. Worldwide Tour and travel is the most affected business in this corona pandemic.

Flights are cancelled worldwide, with hotels being converted to quarantine centres. However, it will not be easy for MMT to make a place in the luxury food delivery field. There are companies like Zomato and Swiggy have their strong feet in this area. 

At the same time, Swiggy has started a ‘Marriott on Wheels’ service by partnering with Marriott Hotel. They are in talks with other luxury hotels and Restaurants to extend similar service pan India. Zomato also exploring such opportunities in tier-one cities of India.

The chief business officer of MMT Deepak Tuli said that our effort to deliver online food is a step towards providing the best food in the city at home. All safety standards will be followed during meal delivery. Currently, this service will start in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

You need to install an Android and iOS application to use this service. Initially this service will only available in Metros but later this may extend to other parts of India.
