Anushka Sharma reacted strongly to an unpleasant comment by former India captain Sunil Gavaskar last night. Lets me tell you that Sunil Gavaskar targeted Virat Kohli on Thursday for dropping a catch against Kings XI Punjab. After this statement by Sunil Gavaskar, there was an uproar on social media. Some people even asked the BCCI to remove Gavaskar from the commentary panel.

Anushka Sharma shared a post on Instagram and said, ‘Mr. Sunil Gavaskar, I want to tell you that your statement is quite unpleasant. I want to ask you why do you make such statements and blame payers wife for the performance by cricketer. I know it well that you have respected the personal life of every cricketer in the last few years.  Then do you not think that the same respect given to me as well.

Anushka Sharma expressed her feeling on social media

She further wrote that I am sure that since my husband’s performance last night there will be many sentences and words in your mind to comment on. But why your words only matter when my name mentioned in those comments. She said that it is 2020 and for me but things still not changed. When will this happen and my name will not get dragged into cricket. When such unilateral comments will not be made on me? ‘ Respected Mr. Gavaskar, you are a great player whose name holds high in this game of Cricket. I just wanted to tell you how I felt when you said that.

Anushka Sharma name dragged many times before for Virat Kohli Performance

It is not the 1st time when Anushka Sharma clammed for the poor performance by her husband Virat Kohli. But this completely wrong and such comment on cricketers wife is unfair. They are not supposed to perform on-field and their husbands have to play. If crickets perming bad criticize them but do not drag their family on it.

I hope this incident will set a president and senior or fellow crickets stop dragging crickets family for their performance.
