Cricket in India may start soon as BCCI is evaluating all aspects with state authorities. Sports activity in India has stopped for the last two months due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Meanwhile, there is a sense of relief that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may start the game in the country from next month.

Since the unlock down has started in India from the beginning of this month. The BCCI has intended to start cricket from next month. It may start in from the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. The process of opening the stadium started with the necessary precautionary in Karnataka. 

BCCI official are in touch with centre and star government to start Cricket in India

Board officials are discussing the possibility of resuming cricket in India from the last two months. It is expected that cricket will again start in India from July this year.

As per the BCCI source, the board’s officials are in touch with the central and state governments. The BCCI wants to start a camp with domestic players in India. However, it is not clear when international tournaments will starts in India.

Cricket activities closed in India since March 2020. The BCCI had postponed the ODI series between India and South Africa due to coronavirus. BCCI also postponed IPL this year due to COVID_19 in India. 

Big money at the stake due to postponing of IPL matches 

There is a huge financial impact on BCCI due to IPL postpone this year. Around 4000 crore rupees are at stake due to IPL. It is reported that BCCI has already collected Rs 2000 crore from broadcasters and sponsors as advance. In such a situation BCCI si despair to organize IPL at the earliest this year.  But there is a big challenge to organize this league of 8 teams with many international players.
