Team India Selection Transparency challenged by another cricketing legend. Former middle-order batsman Mohammad Kaif raised the issue of transparency. He insisted that Team India’s selection committee should be more transparent. Before Kaif, Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan also raised the same concern in various forums.

Raina and Irfan then met each other on Instagram in a live chat. Both admitted that the selectors never told them why they dropped from team India. Also why they never get a chance to come back and claim their position in team India again.

Coach and captain should talk to the player and share the feedback about their performance

Kaif was meeting his fans in a live session on a social media website. Kaif said, ‘The selection committee, coach and captain must talk to the player who is dropped from the team.

All players play for the country. Every player has a bad time. But the management should tell the players why they are being dropped. There should not be any ambiguity in the mind of payers who are dropped from Team India.

The 39-year-old former cricketer and one of the best fielders of his time. He said, “This will help players to play domestic cricket and work on their cricket technique. They will improve in areas were they asked to go from team India.” He said, “If the selection committee adopts such transparency, then no one will come in the media.”

Transparency improved in selection committee but it has a score of improvement

The former right-handed batsman said that the transparency in the selection committee improved. There are many changes that took place to make the process transparent in the last few years.

Earlier the situation was worse and many players came to know from the media. That they are dropped from team India and this was even more unfortunate. The current situation is not so bad. But still, the selection committee, captain, and coach need to sit and discuss the issue.

There are many allegations about the transparency in the BCCI before. Even the court intervene and tried to make the process transparent. But still, BCCI is full of politics and ambiguity. This needs a one-time cleanup to improve transparency in BCCI. This is needed not for players selection but other areas too.
