It’s been long overdue that the German Luxury automobile manufacturer launched something new in the Indian market. It has been precisely a year that Audi launched any of its new models in India. The last was the Audi A8 which was launched last year. India got the new Audi A6 which was launched by the brand ambassador of Audi in India Virat Kohli. It is no surprise that the German manufacturer is cautious in the Indian market to launch new cars since there has been a slump in the Indian Automobile Industry making it difficult to get cars sold.
Audi A6 is slightly bulkier than its outgoing models
The New Audi A6 is slightly bulkier than its outgoing model. It has a slightly wider grille and angular LED Headlights which make it look quite distinctive. It is however not the exteriors that have got a major upgrade the Interior of the car has got a major overhaul with an LED Infotainment and Instrument cluster that makes it quite attractive. Unlike the outgoing model, the 2019 comes only with a petrol engine with two versions named the Premium Plus and Technology. The top-end Technology version comes with a Bang and Olufsen entertainment system.
Audi A6 has tough competition from Mercedes BMW Jaguar and Lexus
Audi when it had entered the Indian market it had quite well captured the Indian market but since then it has failed to woo the Indian Consumer. The New Audi A6 that the company has launched is quite competitively priced it costs 54 Lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai. Which is cheaper than its competitors which is the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes Benz E200, Jaguar XF, and Lexus ES.

While the price may be the cheapest the Power output gives tough competition to the peers. At 245 BHP it is second only to the BMW 5 Series which gives 248bhp. The Mercedes does not even come close to the Audi A6 Powertrain. While the features in the competition is almost the same with just a tad variation here and there between different brands. What will make the Audi A6 stand out is the price and value for money? So better late than never Audi has done the right thing by launching the A6 finally.
