The most volatile IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is set to lead the battle. The last season runner up champion CSK will be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In the opening ceremony for IPL Season13, Mumbai Indians will play against CSK on 19 September. CSK has won IPL titles in 2010, 2011, and 2018.
For IPL Season 13, CSK veteran cricketers like Captain Dhoni, Deepak Chahar, Suresh Raina, Piyush Chawla arrived in Chennai on 14 August. The next day Mahendra Singh Dhoni surprised everyone by announcing his retirement from international cricket. Soon after Dhoni’s announcement Suresh Raina also said goody to International cricket.

Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh withdraw from IPL Season13 due to personal reason
From 15 to 20 August CSK attended a practice camp in Chennai and then left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 21 August. After 6 days of quarantine, the team had to stay in an extra 6 days of quarantine as 13 people of CSK staff including Deepak Chahar and Rituraj Gaikwad were found to be Covid-19 positive.

Meanwhile, Suresh Raina left for home stated some personal reasons. Raina decided to withdraw from the 13th season of IPL. Team owner N Srinivasan first heard Raina, then reconciled between the two. After this, Harbhajan Singh also withdrew from the team.
IPL Season13 will be 1st Indian cricketing tournament after Covid-19. It will be interesting to see how players perform in UAE in the baseness of their local fans and followers.
