Actress Meera Chopra getting rape and life threat after her comment on social media. Meera is a cousin of leading Bollywood actress and international icon Priyanka Chopra. She worked in many Bollywood film and regional films.
Recently Meera responded to a social media question and praised south superstar Mahesh Babu. Meera said that she likes Mahesh Babu more than the junior NTR in Telugu films. After this comment, the fans of Junior NTR started threatening to Meera for her life and rape.

Meera Chopra twitted to Jr NTR and raised her concerns for the behaviour of his fans
She tweeted to Jr NTR and mentioned about the outrage and wild reaction of his fans. Meera wrote in her tweet, “I didn’t know that I will be called a bitch, whore and a porn star, just bcoz I like Mahesh Babu more than you. And your fans will send my parents such wishes. Do u feel successful with such a fan following? And I hope u don’t ignore my tweet.”

In her next tweet, Meera wrote, ‘Well I didn’t know not being somebodies fan was a crime. I want to say this aloud to all the girls that if you are not a fan of Jr NTR, u could be raped, murdered, gangrape. Your parents could be killed as tweeted by his fans. They are totally spoiling the name of their idol.”
Meera got a support from Tollywood singer Chinmayi Sriprada
In this case, Meera Chopra has got the support of famous Tollywood singer Chinmayi Sriprada. She too has received such threats on social media before. Sriprada has advised Meera Chopra to file a police complaint in this matter. Meera Chopra has also appealed to the Hyderabad Police and Twitter on social media to act on the fans of Junior NTR.

This is not the first time when fans of a star trolled and abused other stars fan. I think police should take strict action of such abusive fans to book them for their remarks on the actress. Such behaviour should not be tolerated in any case.
